After Hours: Operationalizing the Federal Sustainability Plan

After Hours: Operationalizing the Federal Sustainability Plan
Thursday, February 2, 2023 (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (EST)
Description
AFFIRM After Hours is a unique networking tradition and must-attend event where government, industry, and academia network to collaborate and innovate. Join us for a special fireside chat, followed by refreshments.
The Federal government is the largest energy, goods, and services consumer in the nation with a portfolio of 318,000 buildings, fleet of 600,000 cars and trucks, and annual purchasing power of $650 billion.
The Federal Sustainability Plan establishes ambitious goals to reduce emissions and limit global warming. To support this whole-of-government effort, agencies will need to:
- Transition infrastructure to zero-emission vehicles and buildings powered by carbon pollution-free electricity
- Become more adaptive and resilient to the impacts of climate change, and increase the sustainability of Federal supply chains
- Mainstream sustainability within the Federal workforce, advance equity and environmental justice, and leverage partnerships to accelerate progress
Hear how agency leaders are improving their operations to achieve a more sustainable and resilient federal government.
