Description

Opening Doors to Careers in Government

The Federal government is the largest employer in the world with a workforce of more than 2 million strong, dedicated to improving the lives of the American people. The talent recruitment effort is ongoing year to year, nationwide, with 22% of all federal employees in Washington, DC and the other 80% around the United States and across the world. In this post-pandemic world, much has changed. Companies are downsizing, and you may be concerned your applications may go unanswered. Take heart: the government, with its vast array of job openings, is hiring, and this half day program will teach you how to open doors to positions with varied growth paths, solid benefits, mobility across agencies, and widely diverse roles. You’ll shake hands with the movers and shakers in government who can teach you the next step in a fulfilling career in government. Join AFFIRM for this in-person workshop as you navigate your path through a career in government.

Students who attend the AFFIRM Federal Career IT Day will be given a leg up on employment opportunities within the Federal workforce. For an opportunity to have your resume reviewed by Federal Government and industry leaders, be sure to have your resume on site (Digital format is preferred). Your resume will not be used or shared for mass marketing.
