AFFIRM Catalyst Application
Apply to become an AFFIRM Catalyst if:
- You are a go getter who wants to make a rapid impact
- Being uncomfortable energizes you
- You say yes and…
- You thrive while problem solving
- You are resourceful and creative
- You aren’t afraid to fail fast, iterate, and innovate
- Thinking outside of the box comes naturally to you
Video submissions should be about 5 minutes in length. The video can uploaded as a .mp4 file or submitted as a link to youtube or vimeo during the application process.
The script below is a suggested script. You do not have to go strictly by the script. The goal though should be to convey your potential capabilities, energy, motivation, willingness to pitch in, progress over perfection mentality, and ability to execute to the selection committee.
Suggested application script:
- Introduce yourself.
- Tell us about some successful or pivotal moments in your life.
- What are you curious or passionate about? (in life, not necessarily at work)
- What massively transformative purpose or purposes guide your life?
- What are your strengths or superpowers?
- Tell us how you approach problem solving.
- How do you handle stress?
- Tell us how you like to work with a team.
- What government missions energize and excite you?
- If you already have a government process in mind that could be a candidate for this program, please describe.
Submissions are due ASAP and will close when we have enough to review. Bonus points will be awarded to those who turn in their applications early. Candidate reviews and announcements are set to be made in December for a January kickoff.
